Concept
Unearthing the story of the Bolkow & Vaughan Brickworks, the lesser-known export of Middlesbrough’s steel pioneers. Designed by We Built the World and printed carbon neutrally on eco-friendly, 290gsm Hahnemühle Bamboo paper, offering a smooth, natural, warm-toned surface, matt finish and maximum ageing resistance.
Background
Middlesbrough’s iron and steel formed the backbone of bridges, buildings and iconic structures across the globe. But more locally, Bolckow & Vaughan also produced bricks at their own brickwork, each stamped with a variation of the B&V initials, a fitting symbol for the forefathers of an industry that would build the world.

This resource-saving paper is free from optical brighteners, thanks to its soft, lightly textured structure and sensual feel. It also guarantees maximum ageing resistance, with a premium matt inkjet coating, extensive colour gamut and high colour density for outstanding expression and soul.
